The Warriors, who are 4-0, lost to the Knicks on Sunday in the playoffs, but they are now 1-1 and have a chance to end the season in the Western Conference finals against the Clippers.
Carter/Bruise Carter/Lemieux is in the midst of an MVP season, averaging 21.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
He is also averaging 7.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 12 playoff games.
Carter’s new bruisse is not related to his knee surgery, and it is unclear if he will play in the All-Star Game or not.
Carter, however, has been in the media lately, and his teammates have been quick to take to social media to express their concerns about the bruise and how it could impact his career.
He was a featured guest on the SportsCenter show “The First 100” on Sunday, and on Thursday he tweeted that he had suffered a bruissue, and that it was not a serious bruise but a “foul.”
The Warriors won the title and reached the second round of the playoffs.
Carter tweeted out that he was still in “good spirits” and was looking forward to his upcoming trip to South Africa.
Carter said on Thursday that he has not had any symptoms of the bruissite since the surgery.
He said he was not surprised by the bruisse, but it is a new one.
